Sean Phillips Soccer Summer 2020 College Prep Camp at UIC
May 8, 2020 – Due to COVID-19, Sean Phillips Soccer will not be able to host our programs at UIC this summer. The health and safety of our campers, their families, our staff and the UIC community are our top priority. It is our hope that you and your families are healthy, safe and making the best of this challenging time. We look forward to the time we can all be on the fields playing together again. Please join the mailing list if you have not already so we can keep you up to date once our programs are able to begin again. Stay safe!
The camp is designed for boys who are in high school or junior college and have aspirations to play college soccer. Each player will receive instruction from and be prepared for college soccer by members of the UIC Men’s Soccer staff as well as select additional college coaches. Goalkeepers will receive instruction and evaluation from a specialized goalkeeper coach. A recruiting information session will also be included. Additional college coaches from the Division 1, 2, 3, NAIA and junior college levels have attended our past College ID Camps.

If space becomes available, we will automatically register you into the camp and an email confirmation will be sent. Register early; limited on site reservations will be accepted!
All confirmation details are sent immediately in the registration confirmation email. A valid email address must be included with the registration. Please be sure to add email@example.com to your address book!
Those who cannot attend camp for medical or other reasons will be refunded all but a 20% handling fee. To receive a refund, the camp office must be notified 48 hours prior to registration.
No physical examination is required. Each camper must have a new, completed consent form on file with the camp each summer. The form is part of the online registration process.
Each participant is responsible for their own food and snacks. We also recommend that each participant bring their own clearly marked water bottle as Sean Phillips Soccer does not provide cups. Sean Phillips Soccer does provide water coolers with which water bottles can be refilled.
Campers are required to bring their own clearly marked soccer ball and a water bottle to camp. They should also bring molded soccer shoes and flats (no black sole shoes) to the camp. In case of inclement weather, we have access to the PEB Fieldhouse which is an artificial turf surface as well as other surfaces on the campus. Each camper is required to wear shin guards during all playing activities.
Getting to UIC Is Easy
UIC is conveniently located just west of the junction of three major expressways: the Eisenhower (I-290), Kennedy (I-90/94 Northwest), and Dan Ryan (I-90/94 Southeast). Several exits provide access to the campus: Ashland, Damen, Halsted, Harrison, Morgan, Racine, Roosevelt and Taylor. Camp is a 9 minute walk from the Blue Line UIC-Halsted Stop, a 10 minute walk from the Metra Halsted Stop and 25 minutes from Oak Park by car.
The University of Illinois at Chicago is the largest institution of higher learning in the Chicagoland area. The campus was formed in 1982 by the consolidation of two campuses: the Medical Center campus, which dates back to the 19th century, and the comprehensive Chicago Circle campus which opened in 1965. Prior to the opening of Chicago Circle campus, the University of Illinois had a two year undergraduate program at Navy Pier which first opened in 1946 to educate returning veterans. UIC shares the rich tradition of the diversity of the city and the spirit of community that is part of the heritage of Chicago’s near west side. The newly renovated South Campus and surrounding area provides an ideal setting for hosting this soccer camp.
